Overview Proposed as part of Project: BIG CAT for the Magistracy of Canopus, the Sabretooth was designed by Majesty Metals and Manufacturing in 3146 as a hardy, brutally effective brawler.
Capabilities The Sabretooth was the most troubled of the three BIG CAT designs; early drafts were unfocused and confused messes; months of prototyping went into fitting all of the necessary components onto the frame. To accomodate the bulk of all of the components, Endo Steel was escewed in favor of more traditional materials. The 'Mech is armed with two Clan-spec ERPPCs for long range, mysteriously supplied in the same way as the Yaguara's large lasers. For closer ranges, the machine mounts five medium pulse lasers, all across the top half of the 'Mech, as well as two massive claws. These giant blades are capable of decapitating a mech in a single swipe, making the Sabretooth a terrifying force up close.
Deployment The Sabretooth is used among the Magistracy Armed Forces in much the same manner as an Atlas--find a target, approach, and make that target cease to exist, while shrugging off as much fire as possible. Indeed, the Assault 'Mech's snarling visage is starting to develop a reputation all its own.

Are you doing this for you? Who are you in this war? and Whoever you choose to be, I want to be by your side.

whenever i think abt writing Nandor and i get going thru a series of sequences of him behaving like a well-adjusted, caring, adult i have to stop myself, backspace several mental paragraphs and remember that he's basically a semi-captive lion being observed in a nature documentary and he functions on 92% Id

#ooc ramblings.#suggestive //#i rewatched the final trial of dr2 and i completely forgot the details of this exchange my GOD#the real Makoto appears and Junko perks right up. it's kind of crazy!! Makoto is not beating the infinite rizz allegations#i think what she said about Makoto's entrance being 'the gallant entrance of the main character' is really conspicuous in a game like#DR2 that's very concerned with its metanarrative about games. What happened to Makoto after DR1 is that he more or less became#the main character of the world because he was able to resist and defeat its ultimate villain. like Junko says he even makes a very tropey#and MC-like entrance! The MC appearing late in a pinch but just before everything is lost is a trope as old as time itself#the protagonist of DR2 is undoubtedly Hajime but I would say the protagonist of DR's world is Makoto. Hajime ends up making a resolve#for the future and freeing himself of that hope/despair dichotomy that defines a lot of the conflict in the series. this idea is also in#NDRV3 with how the audience are clamoring for either the ''hope'' ending or the ''despair'' ending but Saihara rejects both#and ends the entire system third choices included

I think a solid marker of identifying a truly complex, compelling, and unique character is seeing the frequency and scale of how OOC they are written in fanfic
#Example 1: Luffy#Example 2: Feanor#Example 3: Venti#(which is was inspired this post)#I’m guilty of it- why do you think I avoid writing Feanor and luffy like the plague?#fanfiction en masse just cannot abide truly unique character and that’s fine#as a genre rather and again- that’s fine this is doll playing most of the time BUT#like… if a character has more than two layers of stuff going on it is almost entirely lost en masse#if they can’t fit a ‘fanfic comedia d’artte’ role because the original author truly wrote someone unique? it’s already fucking over#and this is not to say that less unique complex or layered characters aren’t compelling#they are very obviously#but when an author truly creates a character who is just THEMSELVES and fits no role…#what to say but I want to do that one day#it is rare and very hard to replicate#also Venti is not nearly as much that as Luffy and Feanor askfkfks#those two are… literary marvels tbh#venti is on the same level as say Gintoki#still means they’re massively ooc in most fics lol#Tribble post

Waiting for someone to ask H:SR Kaeya "do you believe in yourself? are you still on fire? did you ever put out that fire?" so I may pack my bags and end my roleplaying career right then and there because of the "fire burning away his old identity" allegory and I may be slightly obsessed with this to the point where shooting myself in the knee would be less painful and more productive.
Because, despite everything, he's still in the middle of the house fire.
Kaeya travels with a goal that has stopped making him feel anything but obligation to completition. He can only become whole with others that bring out the good in him, and he's at a loss when alone, drifting aimlessly without a real personality that could have a chance to develope in company. Not in the way he wants to.
He never put out that fire. And there's nobody who's going to walk through the tall, raging flames to do it for him.
